The next port of call was to White Labs Yeast and Fermentation, just a stone’s throw around the block from Intergalactic, and there, the five entered the specially created tasting ‘Lab’ at the front of the premises where they were soon privy to many of White Labs top secret recipes – well, the taste of them anyway, if not the actual formulae. In a fantastic science-meets-salivation scenario one can taste brews created at White Labs and trade notes with other brew nerds and beer geeks (in the nicest sense of the words) right in the center of Brewery Alley at 9495 Candida Street, San Diego, 92126.
You really don’t need to be of a scientific persuasion to enjoy White Labs at all, it was judged one of their 2013 ‘tasting room hot-spots’ by San Diego Magazine, and Draft Magazine said “..(a tasting room) this expansive just boggles the mind..”
No wonder there were mock groans and protestations of ‘so much beer, so little time’ when we regrettably had to get aboard the Sienna for the short journey to the next port of call, but don’t worry, you can tailor your own brewery tour exactly as you wish – spend as little or as long as you desire at each venue – just call Breanna at San Diego Brewery Tours and build your own perfect brewery tour!
